I am EXERON

X is All-in-One modular power conversion system developed by IPS initially for military applications.

Exeron Product

X incorporates solar charge controllers, DG/Grid rectifiers and inverters under the control of a single Monitoring and Control Unit (MCU) - the X's brain.

Hot Plug Scalability

The beauty of EXERON - the modular structure and the hot pluggable modules makes for easy installation.

Exchange of modules or power upgrade is easily performed in seconds without tools or special skills. The X remains powered and operational during module exchange or upgrade.

Exeron Explained

Different power sources can be connected into the EXERON: PV strings / wind / electrical grid / diesel genset. All of them can be controlled simultaneously and prioritized according to the application and the customer's requirements.

Various options for remote monitoring and control are available.

BATTERY STORAGE

The unique X Battery Management System (BMS) controls

Lead-Acid, Li-Ion, LiFePo, Ni-Cad and Zinc based batteries.

Battery life is improved ~30% due to intelligent and precise charge algorithms.

Configurator How It Works

The load is connected and powered from the grid. There are no alternative power sources and no back-up. In the event of grid failure, the power supply stops. The grid power is available again after some time.
The grid is primarily used to power the load. A diesel generator is connected as a backup. In the event of grid outage, there is a power gap and the loads shut down until the DG starts. Grid power is available again and the DG stops.
At night time the load is powered from the battery. Тhe sun is rising. The PV energy is used primarily to power the load and charge the battery. It becomes cloudy and the PV generation decreases or stops completely. The load is complemented or completely powered from the battery. The clouds disappear, PV generation starts again. Load supply and battery charging continue. At night time the load is powered from the battery.

It becomes cloudy and the PV generation decreases or stops completely. The load is complemented or completely powered from the battery. The battery is almost empty. The DG receives a start signal from X to power the load and charge the battery. The clouds disappear, PV generation starts again, DG receives a stop signal. Load supply and battery charging continue. At night time the load is powered from the battery.
In the event of not enough wind power the load is powered from the battery. The wind turbines are generating and the energy is used to power the load and to charge the battery. The battery is supporting the load in the events of not sufficient wind energy. The wind turbines are generating and the energy is used to power the load and to charge the battery. The power supply is secured and uninterrupted.

Energy Mix and Prioritization

X can prioritize and mix the energy from the power sources depending on the application and the customer's requirements.

Scenario 1: Cloudy: X uses 70% PV and 30% battery

Scenario 2: Cloudy: X uses 70% PV and 30% grid, battery is the last power source

Scenario 3: Cheaper el. price at night time: X uses grid for load and/or charges battery

Scenario 4: Dynamic el. prices: X dynamically controls load and battery

Scenario X: Many options

Outdoor Applications

EXERON has been designed for demanding military applications and can therefore operate in environments of up to 80℃.

The system is available in various cabinets and shelters for outdoor applications.

Depending on the battery type and customer's requirement the X outdoor solutions are equipped with several cooling options: free cooling, heat exchanger, air conditioning or the special IPS passive cooling technology.
